When you have the time to spend a few days or long weekend in Thailand and looking for a cool itinerary while visiting Bangkok this one is for you. Bangkok is after all for most people either a love it while others hate it. When you take a look below you will find more to see and do and find it as fascinating as most.
On day one – you could start of your visit with a tour of Wat Pho and the Grand Palace and the best time to go is early in the morning or just after six when they open the doors. For stellar views of Bangkok be sure to head on down the road to the Temple of Dawn. With Bangkok home to the most extraordinary temples in the world be sure to include in day one a visit to Wat Kalayanamit, Wat Benchamabophit, Wat Traimit and Wat Saket and the Golden Mount. The best way to get around to the temples is hiring Tuk-Tuk driver.
Eat and shop at the Chatuchak weekend market as it is absolutely a must visit and especially as it only opens over weekends it could not be better for you. This market is massive and easily much larger than several football fields and crowded too. The best things are the great cheap food in its large dining court, with stalls and shops that sell anything from kitchenware, to pets, to backpacks, to designer clothes and then the fake counterparts too. Spend a part of day one’s evening at the Bangkok rajadamnern Stadium for some world-class Muay Thai, combat sport.
Day two – you will not be sorry to start your d y off with a cruise along the river that is certain. Even though there are numerous tours for tourists you must take care with which you choose, some are overpriced while you will pay less than one US dollar for many other. A great place to start is the central pier, going all the way to the end and then back up while you will get descriptions from a tour guide while passing along. A perfect way to spend the rest of your day is along Khao San Road. Here you find limitless amounts of locals, vendors, international restaurants, street food, shops and bars. It is an amazing place to get other locals and tourists like yourself and a bar you simply have to visit is the Thai Ska.
An excellent way to complete your day for a delectable treat is the culinary feasts of Chinatown. It is busy and crowded but surely a must visit when your time is limited.
